The second Lake Manawa Summer.
Read my review of, Making Waves.
Summery:Emily is a suffrage woman. And that can turn off some people. So at lake Manawa this summer her Great-aunts have decided to play matchmaker. Of course she doesn't agree to it. Then she literally runs into an old friend,Carter, who stirs up something inside her. She spends more and more time with Carter...even though one of her aunts mentioned a fight between the families. She falls for Carter and he for her...enough to promise his baseball team to play a match against a Women's team for her suffrage work. The only condition is that she play on his team. And Emily has had a clumsy past...and present.
Romance: Kissing, holding hands, hugging, liking/loving someone, flirting, admiring. Some talk of marriage.
Violence:Someone get conked on the head with a horseshoe, attempts to kill someone, getting mad and throwing something (ball and cake), yelling arguing. At a suffrage meeting some vegetables are thrown. Mean words.
What I Thought: An enjoyable and funny book! A great summer read and a sweet, but innocent romance. Can't decide between this book and the first they are about equal. The first one was a bit more violent. But both of them have lovely characters and the setting is so pretty :)
