Summery: Addy Davidson is being pretty much forced to go onto a reality show where the contestants will compete to be the president's son, Jonathon Jackson's, prom date. Sure he is cute and seems nice, but Addy doesn't like the attention all of the show...it just isn't her! Soon she has made friends with her roommate, Kara Mckormick, and has actually started to think Jonathon is a really nice guy. However as she continues to have increasing popularity with each show from the viewers and that makes her an enemy to the rest of the girls competing. And she's still trying to work up a time and a way to tell Kara and the others about her faith. She feels like she was put on the show to do just that, tell them the good news!
Romance: Liking someone, thinking/talking about someone, flirting, admiring, holding hands, going on a date.
Language: 1 (one use of the word d-ng, I consider it to be a minor cuss word, however others might not)
Violence: Death, shooting, yelling/arguments, mean words, attempted kidnapping, hating Christians and being mean to those who are Christians because of a past experience with Christians.
Other: Lying, bribing, paparazzi lying and hiding out taking pictures etc.
Time Period: Modern.
My Thoughts: As you read you'll start to see more and more relations to the story of Esther. And why? Well it's a sort of modern day retelling of Esther. Esther is my favorite lady from the Bible, definitely. And I just love her story of faith and it also is a fairy tale love story, the kind only God can write! So I was looking forward to it in that way after reading Starring Me and loving Krista McGee's writing style. This one was just as good and Addy is so sweet, you just love having her as a main character. The plot is pretty good and it's an enjoyable one. I would recommend to girls 13+
