TBR Thursday

Releases April 11th.
Riley, a teen orphan boy living in Victorian London, has had the misfortune of being apprenticed to Albert Garrick, an illusionist who has fallen on difficult times and now uses his unique conjuring skills to gain access to victims' dwellings. On one such escapade, Garrick brings his reluctant apprentice along and urges him to commit his first killing. Riley is saved from having to commit the grisly act when the intended victim turns out to be a scientist from the future, part of the FBI's Witness Anonymous Relocation Program (WARP) Riley is unwittingly transported via wormhole to modern day London, followed closely by Garrick.

In modern London, Riley is helped by Chevron Savano, a seventeen-year-old FBI agent sent to London as punishment after a disastrous undercover, anti-terrorist operation in Los Angeles. Together Riley and Chevie must evade Garrick, who has been fundamentally altered by his trip through the wormhole. Garrick is now not only evil, but he also possesses all of the scientist's knowledge. He is determined to track Riley down and use the timekey in Chevie's possession to make his way back to Victorian London where he can literally change the world. (taken from Goodreads)

Why I can't wait:Eoin Colfer did an amazing job with the Artemis Fowl series and is a really talented author. So I'm pretty excited, with the AF series ended, about a new series! And also this book looks pretty interesting on its own too, assassins and time traveling is kinda exciting :P

The Rising (Darkness Rising, #3)
Releases  April 9th.
Things are getting desperate for Maya and her friends. Hunted by the powerful St. Clouds and now a rival Cabal as well, they're quickly running out of places to hide. And with the whole world thinking they died in a helicopter crash, it's not like they can just go to the authorities for help.

All they have is the name and number of someone who might be able to give them a few answers. Answers to why they're so valuable, and why their supernatural powers are getting more and more out of control.

But Maya is unprepared for the truths that await her. And now, like it or not, she'll have to face down some demons from her past if she ever hopes to move on with her life. Because Maya can't keep running forever.

Old secrets are revealed and unexpected characters make a surprising return in this stunning conclusion to Kelley Armstrong's New York Times bestselling Darkness Rising trilogy. (taken from Goodreads)

Why I can't wait:I read the second book in this series and enjoyed it a lot. And I wanted the third book right after, unfortunately I had to wait a while :/ Now this book is almost out and I'm also finally reading the first book, so I'll remmeber where we are in the story and (shame on me) start the series as I should with the first book. This is an exciting series and the author is a very talented one. I've been meaning to read her first series too. Hopefully it'll be as good as this one!
Love, Sierra

  1. Can't wait to read both of these too. I didn't realize Eoin Colfer had a new series coming out. Thanks for sharing about it.

  2. I really want to read the Darkness Rising Trilogy, especially since it's now complete. I'll definitely be adding it to my TBR :) Great post!

If you have book news or anything!
I'd love to hear about it =)
